The way wolfs work right now are just too simplistic and annoying.
I think it would provide a richer gameplay if wolfs were spawned in fixed locations in wolf dens and had a very small probability of migrating or wandering. If the player gets to close to a wolf , it should attack. If the player destroys a den, no wolfs would spawn there anymore. If a player is too close to a den, it would not spawn wolfs. That way, the wolf would be a casual (not so frequent) problem with a solution (destroying a den). Then, another task the player would have to do in order to survive in a planet would be to find nearby dens and destroy them in order to get some peace of mind.
Maybe the generation of wolf dens could be related to altitude, vegetation etc for more realism.
