Rework on fauna
I remember how everybody loved when Keen decided to put sabiroids in the alien like planet, also how everyone was pissed off when they decided to FUCKING BLOW UP EVERYBODY IN XMAS with explosive cyberhounds that later on become wolves that still drop spare parts. Fauna has a lot of potential, but until now only has one behaviour: they chase down the player and when die drop spare parts. What I suggest is to put some effort in that part of the game and make some use to realistic animal drops (like food and the need of the engineers to eat in order to survive). I mean to let animals to roam around the planets (using something like the heightmaps used to put minerals but in gif version to make spawn animals moving towards the next point they are going), add more (enought at least to make a food chain), with diferent behaviours towards the player (some run away, others dont mind at all, and other engage if on sigth, for example).

I can't tell you how much time I've spent honing my archery skills in Skyrim just so that I can take down a deer in one shot (or grizzly bear in 2-3). Perhaps keen could open up the behavior state machines of the fauna and perhaps create modable NPCs at the same time, we'd see an insane number of new creature behaviors that drive new game play mechanics. +1 from me though. I dream of a planet with a more complex experience.

Hostile creatures are one thing but taming one would be much more interesting, maybe set a wolf as base defense, this way more interesting features and survival will not be as boring as just killing these poor creatures, thats another point, wolves are so cute its difficult to hear them die, tears come out...

Good point. I always turn off wolves just because their behaviour is too unrealistic. All they do is attack in small packs and drop metal. If they behaved more naturally like you are saying I would always turn them on again. Plus surely we can have the deer straight from Medieval engineers. Like you say this could also pave the way for the implementation of food and it just brings life into the game.

Also there is something must be done to wolves behavior. They spawn in a circle around the player and bark on him. When player get closer a wolf (and a couple of closest to it wolves) attack player. If wolves can't reach player because he is too high they leave. I think wolves must spawn in a small groups (in one place) about a kilometer far from player and run to random direction. If player gets closer... wolves do the same as now they do. Some examples about other animals: Bear - less agile but can take more damage. One hit kill. Randomly walks. Hunts deers. Deer - Randomly walks. Same speed as bear. in opposit direction when player comes closer than 50m. I suppose there must be no loot from animals.

Please help support my "Furniture and Greenhouse" idea. It really is a good idea, if I say so myself. Personally, I think the game has overlooked a vital part of ship building. We have no furniture, like beds and desks or no bathroom items, like sinks, toilets and showers. Anyway, there's more to my idea, I would appreciate any votes. Thank you. https://feedback.keenswh.com/idea/furniture-and-greenhouse59c67aa110fc8
