Rework on fauna
I remember how everybody loved when Keen decided to put sabiroids in the alien like planet, also how everyone was pissed off when they decided to FUCKING BLOW UP EVERYBODY IN XMAS with explosive cyberhounds that later on become wolves that still drop spare parts.
Fauna has a lot of potential, but until now only has one behaviour: they chase down the player and when die drop spare parts.
What I suggest is to put some effort in that part of the game and make some use to realistic animal drops (like food and the need of the engineers to eat in order to survive).
I mean to let animals to roam around the planets (using something like the heightmaps used to put minerals but in gif version to make spawn animals moving towards the next point they are going), add more (enought at least to make a food chain), with diferent behaviours towards the player (some run away, others dont mind at all, and other engage if on sigth, for example).
