Radar for spotting and weapon guidance in SE
So I posted this idea on Facebook and apparently the devs have been told about ti already, but just to see if the community finds it interesting I'll post it here as well. So radar in SE. Something that could be used to detect enemy ships and incoming weapons and meteors within lets say max antenna range of 50km. A radar that with scripts or by default could also be for example used to guide weapons such as missiles to hit enemy ships at long range or even to create something like a seeker head of a modern torpedo for independently guided ordinance. This suggestion is mainly due to missiles in tandem with radar guidance and target seeking torpedoes are the most commonly used naval weapons today and such one would assume this to be the case were we as people ever to move to new battlefields in space.
