Pistons and Rotors should have an 'auto-reverse' when reaching a settable limit
Add a feature to rotors and pistons to turn on 'auto-reverse' when reaching a settable limit (use the existing limits). This would help with a lot of automation of things without requiring scripts. It would be nice if a toolbar action could be performed for each limit.

Auto reverse is achievable with a ModAPI mod. I had a prototype working last year before soft limits was implemented for rotors.

I expect many of the suggestions that will come here will be implement-able by Mods. This is a suggestion for the Vanilla game so that more complex constructions can be made by players without having to use scripts and/or mods.

Yeah plus if it's in vanilla then Malware can use it too!

I'd like to expand this idea. There should be all kinds of events of a lot of blocks. A few examples: - rotor/piston reached set limit - hangar doors fully opened / fully closed - projector finished welding - assembler finished production - etc This way reverse would be also an option. This would make the life of non-scripters a whole lot easier but still keep the power of true intelligent scripts. And even could be the foundation of a new visual tool with an overview of these event chains (much easier to make than a true visual scripting tool some people are requesting I guess :) )

Please help support my "Furniture and Greenhouse" idea. It really is a good idea, if I say so myself. Personally, I think the game has overlooked a vital part of ship building. We have no furniture, like beds and desks or no bathroom items, like sinks, toilets and showers. Anyway, there's more to my idea, I would appreciate any votes. Thank you.
