Antenna ship detection.
I think that if antennas could detect ships like a sensor and activate a block when ships are and are not in range. They would be more versatile for PvP and faction wars. For example, if a neutral ship enters your territory and an antenna detects them it could send a display a warning message or if an enemy enters your antennas range it could turn itself to silent mode to protect itself from being destroyed or it could trigger sound blocks on your ship to alert you that an enemy is approaching which would be awesome. It would be one of those small details that would make the game feel more versatile.

+1 It should also highlight detected enemies/ships/objects even if they are trying to be sneaky by turning their beacons/antenna off. Even if the range is reduced, this should still be a thing.

@AutoMcD I don't think that is a good idea for antennas because what you are describing is a radar. if they added radars into the game then they should also add a radar block which would stop the radar from knowing your location but would still be able to detect that there is a ship within range.

Sorry for the double post. No idea what happened there.

Antenna's should be able to detect other broadcasting antenna's — anything more in this regard is not their job. A grid detected by any means, should then show up on your HUD. This information should of course be available to scripts, and there should be "new ship detected", and/or "enemy ship detected" event slots that can be bound to some function.
